RUFFNEK® Re-Cycle: Give Your Snood a Second Life

At RUFFNEK®, we’re proud that most of our products are made using recycled materials, like RePET (recycled plastic bottles). However, for some specialist ranges we haven’t yet been able to source recycled fabric alternatives. That’s why we’re launching RUFFNEK® Re-Cycle, our way of helping you responsibly dispose of your used snoods and reduce their environmental impact.

1. Partnering with SATCoL for Responsible Recycling

We’ve teamed up with SATCoL (Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd) - one of the UK’s leading textile reuse and recycling charities. SATCoL diverts thousands of tonnes of clothing from landfill each year, giving items a second life through resale, reuse, or recycling.

If you’d like to donate your used RUFFNEK® snood, you can:

• Visit your nearest SATCoL donation point using their location finder

• Or send it back to us directly using our return envelope service (see below)

2. Request a Free Return Envelope

If you prefer to return your used RUFFNEK® snood by post, we’ve made it simple:

✅ Fill in our quick Return Envelope Request Form
✅ We’ll send you a freepost envelope made from recyclable materials
✅ Pop your used Ruffnek snood(s) in and drop it in the post

We’ll collect these and ensure they’re passed on to SATCoL for responsible recycling or reuse.

Please note: This initiative is available for genuine RUFFNEK® products only, and there’s no financial incentive - just a shared commitment to reducing waste.

3. Why This Matters

Sustainability has always been a core RUFFNEK® value. While we work hard to innovate with eco-fabrics, we know we’re not perfect. RUFFNEK® Re-Cycle is our way of bridging the gap - by ensuring even products that aren’t currently recyclable can still avoid landfill.
